Adding another "zoo" to the list!

This week was a VERY busy week for me and my family. To celebrate the end of the school year, we decided to visit a town I haven't been to in about 15 years. We went to Wichita, KS where I got a chance to see all of the updates to the Sedgwick County zoo.

I have to say the jungle is still my favorite exhibit, even if we did go when it was 102 degrees outside, and with the humidity inside the jungle, we came out even hotter than when we went in.

We also went out to a new attraction for the Wichita area - Tanganyika Wildlife Park. It is just outside of Wichita in Goddard, KS and is a very nice place to spend a couple of hours. Because it is still small, and not yet real well known, they are able to offer experiences that otherwise you wouldn't be able to have. For example, my daughter and I were able to feed lemurs. They sat on our laps and everything.

Hubby got the best view of a Clouded Leopard and Snow Leopard that he has ever had. And we got to see tons of baby cubs - clouded leopards, snow leopards, and white tigers! Totally cute!

While we were there, of course we visited other places, like one of my favorite places for a burger - Jimmie's Diner, and a movie theater to catch the newest X-Men movie. But mostly, we went planning to hit the animal parks. : )

Plus, it was fun seeing hubby and daughter's reaction to the drive there - especially the flat plains right before the Flint Hills of KS.

So now, that brings my zoo list to:
