I haven't posted an actual definition lately, and was wondering what I could post today when I read an email from Kally Jo Surbeck's yahoo group.
It's a word I hadn't heard before and found rather interesting.
"Pourboire" (French)
"Definition: (noun) A relatively small amount of money given for services rendered.
Synonyms: baksheesh, gratuity, tip
Usage: The bellboy waited expectantly, but no pourboire was forthcoming."
